Are You Ready?

Facebook timeline is now compulsory for business

A couple of weeks ago we wrote about the changeover for Facebook Business Pages, as of today we will all be using the new timeline whether we like it or not. At the time or writing the previous article we hadn’t changed the MW marketing page but we did manage to get round to it before the deadline. As usual with Facebook there are some good things and some not so good things, for example you get a nice big image to use for your landing area (See MW marketing example below) but you are restricted to the content you can display in it, i.e. no special offers or call to action.

A Very Big QR Code

42 feet to be precise and it’s on the roof of the Facebook HQ

We haven’t read much on QR codes recently but we did come across this story on Design Taxi today and thought we would share it. You can read the original article and the details on why Facebook painted a QR code on it’s roof at Tech Crunch, the team behind the QR code at Facebook also posted Some Videos of them in action.

If you scan the QR code (It does work, we tested it) you will be sent off to a Coming Soon page, we will have to wait and see to find out what will appear but Facebook are promising us that it will be something ‘Really Cool’.

Guess the Characters

Lego ads goes minimalist, new campaign from Jung Von Matt

Really love these ads for Lego that we came across on design Taxi. They are a series of print only adverts and the idea is to keep you guessing by using only the most basic of shapes and the minimum of colours. Above are the Smurfs which are our favourite, enjoy the rest…

Asterix and Obelix

South Park Gang

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The Simpsons

Donald Duck and family

Bert and Ernie
